We are, of course, amazed that our readers occasionally disagree with our brilliant and witty essays. In fact, sometimes quite a few readers think that The Outrage editors are wrong, misanthropic, idiotic, selfish, deluded, or all of the above.
Mother Outrage always told us that even the dull and the ignorant should have their say, so we've allowed space below for those dissenting opinions (and for shameless flattery).

On Tuesday the DO dealt with politicians solving porblems by spending more money. It reminded me of an incident in my past:
As Mr. Beyer explains, MORE MONEY means MORE EDUCATION. We should have already known this, as of course the American solution for every conceivable problem is MORE MONEY. (Hey, maybe if we had MORE MONEY we could afford to pay that car tax.)
I once worked at a small PBS radio station in Logan, Utah. The news director had a cartoon on his wall which I still find funny - if it wasn't so true. The director was a staunch Republican but the gest of the matter can be more universally applied.
The cartoon showed an automobile with a flat back tire. Standing beside it was a fairly well dressed fellow throwing dollar bills at it. The caption read, "A Democrat trying to fix a problem."

Two quick points -- Does anyone else think that Clinton's appearance on behalf of Beyer and his ill-considered remarks about Virginians and their greed actually damaged Beyer? And, where is it written that education funding MUST be derived from the personal property tax revenues? I came from a family of educators and have a five-year-old of my own. I care deeply about his education. But I'm really over, dare I say outraged by, politicians of either stripe holding my kid up as a hostage to whatever their agenda happens to be (usually it involves squeezing more money out of me). It's always, "pay up, or the kid gets it"....

Well Done! Upon my recent return from a two month trip, I had over 500 emails waiting. I deleted most of the "non-personal" ones without even reading them - just to catch up - but took the time to read every DO. Keep up the great work.

As tom said above, voting more often than not is choosing between "the lesser of two evils" I pretty much stick to the issues, unless there is a candidate I truly think will do a what they are there for. THAT IS TO SERVE THE PEOPLE!
Figuring out which candidates will do that is quite a task. Above all, the best part of voting is recieving the cool "I Voted Today" sticker!!

It must be nice to have two good candidates for Virginia's Gov... most of the time you need to choose between the lesser of two evils...
