We are, of course, amazed that our readers occasionally disagree with our brilliant and witty essays. In fact, sometimes quite a few readers think that The Outrage editors are wrong, misanthropic, idiotic, selfish, deluded, or all of the above.
Mother Outrage always told us that even the dull and the ignorant should have their say, so we've allowed space below for those dissenting opinions (and for shameless flattery).

Let’s see ...... the tuition at the school I attended is now about $18,000 a year, room and board about $5,000, books and lab fees at somewhere around $1,000....... my guess is that this comes to roughly $24,000 a year. Private and out of state schools obviously cost much more than this. It’s unbelievable to me that you would think athletes are not being compensated fairly? Playing any sport at the collegiate level has been and always will be totally voluntary. If the participants don’t like the pay, then let them get jobs at the local Burger King like so many other students must in order to pay for their education. I’m greatly disgusted with the way athletes are pampered, tutored and hand-held throughout their college stay. If an education isn’t sufficient payment for their play time, then maybe they should try working for a living.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! If its so bad then don't play for the stingy jerks. Go to college for the right reason, to get an education. The education will get you allot further than the winning touch-down.

Good article, though it fails to point out that while some colleges may recieve significant income from sports, the costs associated with maintaining facilities, scholarships, etc. are not to be overlooked.
